Working with the Pacific Vehicle Testing Technologies (PVTT), a subsidiary of TransLink and responsible for AirCare, Envirotest Canada's Public Relations Department develops and implements the annual Public Relations and Communications Plan for AirCare. That plan seeks to develop strong community partnerships for the AirCare program and creates opportunities to deliver messages about AirCare and its benefits to air quality, lung health and the environment. These partnerships include the British Columbia Lung Association, the British Columbia Medical Association, the David Suzuki Foundation, Jack Bell/Rideshare, and the Environmental Youth Alliance.

The PR Department has implemented a number of awareness campaigns and public education initiatives to communicate important clean air messages along with our partners. These messages provide motorists and residents in the Greater Vancouver Regional District and Fraser Valley Regional District with information on the impact of vehicle emissions on air quality and health, and what they can do to reduce this effect.

In 1999, Envirotest Canada received the Signature Award for Excellence in Communications from the Vancouver Chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society.
We communicate important information to the public on the impact of vehicle emissions on our health and on air quality in the region.
